Job summary

Magna Engineered Glass in Michigan is seeking an NPI Engineer who can turn quotes into stable, efficient production lines. You will lead cross-functional teams on the floor and in rooms, launching new programs and optimizing current production.

Responsibilities include building process flows, conducting PFMEA workshops, deploying new equipment, and developing Standard Work and Job Element Sheets. Strong GD&T and hands-on troubleshooting are essential, with English proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 3–5 years of related experience.
• Automotive engineering background required; experience with injection molding, bonding, soldering, assembly and/or stamping preferred.
• Experience developing manufacturing process prints, standard work instructions, and job element sheets.
• Hands-on troubleshooting with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Fluent with GD&T and tolerance analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English; Spanish bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Launch new programs by defining manufacturing operations for quotes through ramp-up.
• Lead or support PFMEA workshops to de-risk launches.
• Specify, procure, and deploy new equipment; own buy-off and production rollout.
• Create Standardized Work and Job Element Sheets; train teams on new processes.
• Maintain plant layout drawings and develop in-process prints and tools.
• Benchmark processes across sites and suppliers; support continuous improvement.
