Job summary

Paragon Tempered Glass, LLC., a leader in custom glass manufacturing, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer at our Niles, MI site to translate customer drawings into CAD and CNC programs for production. You will set up part information in our ERP, train operators, and contribute to ISO 9001 quality processes.

Responsibilities include developing new parts, creating production prints, and supporting continuous improvement. Occasional travel to Antwerp, OH may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of 2D CAD experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems.
• Experience using an ERP system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work with Sales, Production, Quality, and customers.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Professional conduct and the ability to handle confidential customer and company information.
• Ability to travel occasionally to our Antwerp, OH facility.

Responsibilities

• New Product Development and customer support: Develop glass shapes and parts from prototype through production launch; advise on manufacturability.
• Drawings, CNC programs, and templates: Create and control 2D/3D drawings; prepare production prints; write, test, and debug CNC programs; maintain templates; train operators.
• ERP and part data: Enter and maintain part and engineering information in the ERP system (Infor Visual).
• Quality and Continuous Improvement: Support ISO 9001:2015, maintain SOPs, participate in corrective actions, and support PPAP and first article inspections.
