Job summary

Ralliant is seeking a Project Design Engineer to lead detailed product design from concept handoff through production release. You will ensure manufacturability, drive DFx improvements, and maintain complete product definitions across CAD, ERP, PIM, and web platforms.

In this role you will manage engineering changes (ECR/ECO), configure customer-driven variants, and collaborate with Product Management to align design intent with commercial offerings.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3-5+ years of mechanical design or product realization experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong SolidWorks experience (assemblies, drawings, configurations, design tables) and DFx/Lean knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed product design from concept handoff through production release using SolidWorks (models, assemblies, drawings, configurations).
• Apply DFx principles to deliver manufacturable, cost-effective, production-ready designs; perform tolerance analysis and material selection.
• Define and maintain complete product definition (drawings, BOMs, documentation) for manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and release.
• Execute engineering changes (ECR/ECO) and implement product updates due to quality, cost, or obsolescence.
• Release customer-driven configurations and variants, ensuring accurate product definition and alignment with product structure.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to update BOMs, work instructions, and quality requirements.
