Job summary

Sanmina Corporation Fremont is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive electromechanical product development from concept to production. You will contribute to DFM/DFX and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2-4 years of electromechanical product design and DFx experience.
• Experience with sheet metal structures, weldments or machined components preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or CREO.
• Experience with FEA tools and design for manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design and manufacturing activities on assigned projects, possibly leading a cross-functional team.
• Develop statements of work with deliverables, timelines, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze requests and proposals to design mechanical solutions meeting customer requirements.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams (industrial, manufacturing, electrical, structural, thermal, etc.).
• Perform Value Analysis Value Engineering to reduce costs while preserving design intent.
• Ensure DFX is integrated into the design and provide guidance to production teams.
• Deliver complete designs, BOMs, and documentation for fabrication and installation.
