Job summary

10x Genomics in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Sr Buyer to support our US global Procurement team on a temporary contract up to 6 months. You will purchase preproduction indirect and direct production instruments and consumables, and manage key supplier relationships for the assigned categories.

You will issue POs on time, maintain ERP data, monitor orders, and assist RFQ/RFP projects while collaborating with internal stakeholders to drive results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 6+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with a service mindset for internal customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D procurement for components for new instruments and consumables.
• Manage supplier communications and resolve issues with preproduction and production materials.
• Issue purchase orders timely to support manufacturing needs.
• Maintain purchasing data in the ERP system and monitor PO statuses.
• Assist RFQ/RFP projects and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
