Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Manager, New Product Development Supply Chain Procurement to lead sourcing strategies and supplier engagements for growth products. You will partner with Value Stream Leaders to optimize costs, reliability, and timing across Electronics, External Manufacturing, Direct Materials and Packaging.

The role requires 6+ years in procurement or supply chain within the medical devices space, strong negotiation and project-management skills, and the ability to influence

Qualifications

• A minimum of six (6) years of relevant professional work experience.
• Experience in Procurement, Supply Chain/Operations, Quality, R&D or Engineering.
• Experience in Medical Devices or related industry.
• Excellent negotiating skills; should-cost modeling and cost management tools preferred.
• Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of project management and developing sourcing strategies.
• Ability to engage at the leadership level with Suppliers and within J&J.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Value Stream Leaders to understand business strategy and develop long-term sourcing strategy.
• Lead market engagement programs for Make vs. Buy assessments and supplier selection.
• Coordinate category/supplier management and oversee execution of strategic plans.
• Support multiple strategic sourcing initiatives across products and geographies.
• Communicate business issues or opportunities to senior management.
• Lead complex supplier negotiations and hand off contracts to base teams.
• Lead due diligence for biosense business development activities.
• Drive innovation through early supplier engagement in product development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental practices.
