Job summary

Nidec Motor Corporation seeks an experienced Project Manager for New Product Development (NPD) to lead motor driver development projects from concept through launch. You will drive cross-functional alignment, define requirements, manage schedules, budgets, and risks, and ensure on-time releases meeting performance and cost targets.

You will partner with Electronics hardware/software, Test validation, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Regulatory, Finance, and R&D teams in a global setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline.
• Advanced PM knowledge (PMBOK, Waterfall) including scheduling, planning, risk mitigation, financial analysis.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• 5+ years of demonstrable Project Management experience.
• Experience handling large New Product Development projects with internal/external teams.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
• Strong English communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate cross-functional project meetings, drive actions, remove blockers, and enable timely decision-making.
• Own end-to-end planning and control: scope, schedule, budget; coordinate resources and program integration.
• Prepare governance packages and challenge readiness at gates to enable decisions.
• Influence across diverse, global teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Coordinate workshops to improve execution, quality, and team effectiveness.
• Identify and engage stakeholders across electronics hardware/software, testing, manufacturing, procurement, and QA.
• Manage risks, conflicts, and execution barriers with timely mitigation and escalation.
• Use PM tools to ensure deliverables and milestone discipline; track actions and critical path.
• Escalate when scope/timing/technical maturity threatens commitments.
• Define deliverables and interdependencies across functions and partners.
• Drive simplification and efficiency across development and validation workflows.
