Job summary

Nidec Corporation seeks a Project Manager for New Product Development to lead motor driver projects from concept through launch, ensuring governance, on-time releases, and alignment with customer requirements and quality standards.

You will manage end-to-end planning, scope, schedule and budget, coordinate hardware/software, validation, and supplier activities, and drive risk management and stakeholder engagement across global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline.
• Advanced Project Management (PMBOK, Waterfall) knowledge includes concepts of scheduling, planning, risk mitigation, financial analysis, etc.
• PMP Certification (preferable)
• 5+ years of demonstrable Project Management experience.
• Experience handling large New Product Development projects scope while driving internal and external team members.
• Agile/Scrum methodology is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with executive level teams.
• Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma, Black Belt certification (preferable).
• Strong English-speaking is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate cross-functional project meetings to drive actions and resolve issues.
• Own end-to-end project planning and control (scope, schedule, budget) including resource coordination.
• Prepare governance decision packages and challenge project readiness at key gates.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to influence across diverse global teams.
• Prepare and co-facilitate workshops to improve execution and team effectiveness.
• Identify and engage stakeholders to build well-rounded project teams across functions.
• Identify and manage project risks, conflicts, and execution barriers with timely mitigation.
• Utilize PM tools to ensure scope focus, accountability, and milestones.
• Define deliverables and manage interdependencies across functions and external partners.
• Drive simplification, standardization, and efficiency in electronics development and validation workflows.
• Support integration of financial planning and resource allocation into project plans.
• Ensure clear communication and archiving of artifacts; act as primary contact for status, risks, and deliverables.
