Job summary

SLB New Energy & Industrial is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join the New Product Development team focused on modular data center infrastructure. You will create detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, and equipment layouts for containerized systems and skid-mounted modules.

You will collaborate with Mechanical and Structural engineers, Manufacturing, and Product Development to turn concepts into production-ready designs, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness while adhering to

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical diploma in mechanical engineering technology or related field.
3+ years of experience in mechanical design or product design.
Proficient with SolidWorks or Creo and creating detailed fabrication/manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks and/or Creo.
Create fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, weldment drawings, and manufacturing packages.
Prepare equipment layouts for modular and containerized data center systems.
Design structural framing, equipment supports, mounting arrangements, and cable tray supports.
Create and maintain BOMs and drawing packages.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
Support prototype builds and resolve design issues during development.
Prepare engineering change documentation and drawing revisions.
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into final designs.
Develop installation drawings in line with drafting standards and GD&T.
Coordinate with multiple disciplines for integration within modular platforms.
