Job summary

SLB New Energy & Industrial is seeking a Mechanical Designer for New Product Development focused on modular data center infrastructure. You will craft detailed 3D models and fabrication drawings for containerized systems, working with engineers and manufacturing to bring concepts to production.

The role emphasizes designing skid-mounted systems, E-Houses, modular buildings, and BESS-related components while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and cost-efficiency across fast-paced development

Qualifications

Associate's degree or technical diploma in mechanical engineering tech or related field.
3+ years of experience in mechanical design or product design.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and/or Creo; ability to create fabrication and manufacturing drawings.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed 3D CAD models and assemblies using SolidWorks and/or Creo.
Create fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, weldment drawings, and manufacturing packages.
Prepare detailed equipment layouts for modular/containerized data center systems.
Design structural framing, equipment supports, mounting arrangements, cable tray supports, access platforms, and mechanical integration features.
Create and maintain BOMs and drawing packages.
Support engineering teams with concept modeling and design development activities.
Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.
Support prototype builds and resolve design issues during production.
