Job summary

CoWorx Staffing Services seeks an NPD Engineer in Slatersville, RI to lead new product development from concept to production launch. You will design, prototype, test, and optimize dispensing-closure packaging, collaborating across Sales, Operations, Quality, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of mechanical product design and development experience; production through concept preferred.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and 2D drawings with tolerances.
• Knowledge of thermoplastic injection molding, mold design, tooling development, and manufacturability.
• Ability to develop test plans/fixtures, perform basic statistics, and document conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Drive dispensing-closure and packaging projects from concept through production implementation.
• Develop concepts and detailed designs in SolidWorks with accurate 3D models and 2D drawings.
• Create and evaluate rapid prototypes and tooling for fit, function, and manufacturability.
• Coordinate pre-production tooling, molds, and automation to scale designs to production.
• Develop test plans, fixtures, inspection methods, and dimensional studies; perform analysis.
