Job summary

Dover Food Retail, part of Dover Corporation, is hiring an NPD/DTV Engineer to develop refrigerated merchandisers and drive cost reductions across product lines. The role emphasizes value engineering, CAD modeling, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The candidate should hold an engineering degree with 1–3 years of relevant design experience, and familiarity with Six Sigma and lean tools is highly valued.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering; 1-3 years of experience in the design of industrial products.
• Willingness to leverage Six Sigma and Lean tools to optimize product costs.
• Background in refrigeration, air conditioning, dehumidifier, sealed-system, or thermal management is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Apply value engineering methodologies to optimize cost position on existing products.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturing Engineering to implement cost saving projects.
• Manage the DTV project from concept to completion, including scheduling and cross functional communication.
• Brainstorm new and innovative solutions to achieve standardization and modularity.
• Develop CAD solid models and engineering simulations of proposed concepts.
• Collaborate with Product Management to validate the solution with the customer.
• Develop a test plan and work with the Engineering Lab to validate the solution.
• Conduct field tests to validate the solution.
• Manage multiple projects and solve complex problems.
