Job summary

Dover Corp is seeking an NPD/DTV Engineer to lead the development of refrigerated merchandisers and drive cost reduction across product lines. This role will manage value engineering projects from concept to completion, coordinating across sourcing, manufacturing, and product management.

The ideal candidate has BS in engineering with 1–3 years in industrial product design, solid modeling experience, and familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean tools.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in design of industrial products
• Experience with product design and solid modeling in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, dehumidifier, sealed-system, airflow thermal management, or similar, design theory and application
• Experience in practical application of Six Sigma and Lean tools
• MS Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities

• Apply value engineering methodologies to optimize cost position on existing products.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturing Engineering to implement cost saving projects.
• Manage the DTV project from concept to completion, including scheduling and cross functional communication
• Brainstorm new and innovative solutions to achieve product standardization and modularity.
• Develop CAD solid models and engineering simulation of proposed concepts.
• Collaborate with Product Management to validate the solution with the customer.
• Develop a test plan and work with the Engineering Lab to validate the solution.
• Conduct field tests to validate the solution.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for aNew Product Development / Design to Value (NPD/DTV) Engineer to be responsible for the development of refrigerated merchandisers, as well as cost reduction efforts on the existing product lines.

What you will be responsible for in this role:

• Apply value engineering methodologies to optimize cost position on existing products.
