Job summary

Southcoast Health is seeking a Talented Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Team in Wareham, MA. This per diem role offers day/evening shifts with no weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements.

Responsibilities include taking histories, performing exams, interpreting tests, and providing patient-focused care under physician supervision. Eligible candidates include PAs and NPs with current MA licenses and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants within one year of hire.
• Master of Science Degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioner.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or pending.
• Current MA RN registration.
• Over 3 months experience.
• Nurse Practitioner license authorization to practice.
• CME requirements as needed.
• PA Physician Assistant License authorization to practice.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of a Physician, Office Manager or Designee, perform a wide variety of patient care duties within and in support of Southcoast Physicians Group.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical exams, review medical records, order and interpret tests; explain procedures to patient and family; perform diagnostics and therapeutic procedures; review results toward quality patient care.

We are searching for a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Team - 2 PER DIEM openings.

Hours: PER DIEM M-F 8A-8:30P / S-S 9A-5:30P

Shift: Day/Evening, no weekend, holiday or on call.

Locations: Wareham, MA locations + all UC sites.

• Under direction of individually assigned Physician, Office Manager or Designee, perform a wide variety of patient care and related duties both within and in support of Southcoast Physicians Group.
• Including, but not limited to taking patient histories, conduct physical exams, review past medical records, complete electronic health records, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies; explain necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient and family; perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; review results of studies and procedures and interpret results toward quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
• Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants within one year of hire is required.
• Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required or immediately pending.
• Current MA R.N. registration is required.
• Over 3 months experience.
• NP MA Nursing License authorization to practice in an expanded role.
• CME requirements as needed.
• PA Physician Assistant License authorization to practice.
• CME requirements as needed.

Pay Range

USD $67.00 - USD $84.00 /Hr.
