Job summary

Southcoast Health in Dartmouth, MA is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Team. You will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting, perform histories, exams, orders, and interpretations under physician supervision.

This role requires PA/NP credentials with MA/RI registration, with a 36-hour per week schedule including day/evening shifts and weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Graduate of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
• Nurse Practitioner: MS in Nursing is required or pending licensure.

Responsibilities

• Take patient histories, conduct physical exams, review medical records and order/interpret labs and studies.
• Explain procedures, provide care and review results to ensure quality patient care.

We are searching for a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Team.

Hours: Modified full-time - 36 hours M-F 8A-8:30P / S-S 9A-5:30P

Shift: Day/Evening, weekend, holiday rotation. Every other weekend & every other holiday.

Locations: Dartmouth, MA locations + all UC sites.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of individually assigned Physician, Office Manager or Designee, perform a wide variety of patient care and related duties both within and in support of Southcoast Physicians Group.
• Including, but not limited to taking patient histories, conduct physical exams, review past medical records, complete electronic health records, order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies; explain necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient and family; perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; review results of studies and procedures and interpret results toward quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required.
• Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants within one year of hire is required. Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required or immediately pending.
• Current MA or RI R.N. registration is required.
• Over 3 months experience.
• NP MA Nursing License authorization to practice in an expanded role.
• CME requirements as needed. PA Physician Assistant License authorization to practice.
• CME requirements as needed.

Pay Range

USD $67.00 - USD $84.00 /Hr.

Rotation Schedule Requirement

Every other Holiday - Every other Weekend
