Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department in Augusta, ME. The APP will perform front-end, rapid evaluations with the triage nurse to expedite care and support rapid decision-making in a busy ED.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of ED experience, an active Maine APRN/NP license, and certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS).

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an accredited APP program.
  • Active Maine Advanced Practitioner's license.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ ED experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform front-end rapid evaluations with the triage nurse to facilitate care.
  • Make rapid decisions about patient care in the ED.
  • Collaborate with a team of 20 physicians and 7 PAs to manage 55,000 annual visits.
