Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department in Augusta, ME. The APP will perform front-end, rapid evaluations with the triage nurse to facilitate care and support rapid decision-making for acute patients.

Join a team of 20 physicians and 7 PAs with a 24/7 ED; the role requires minimum 5 years ED experience and an accredited APP program, plus Maine licensure and BLS/ACLS/PALS certification.

Qualifications

• Accredited APP program completion.
• Active Maine APRN/PA license.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience, preferably in ED.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end rapid evaluations with triage nurse.
• Make rapid decisions to facilitate patient care.
• Collaborate with ED team including physicians and PAs/NPs to coordinate care.
