Job summary

MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking an experienced per diem Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Emergency Department in both Augusta and Waterville, ME. The APP will perform front-end, rapid evaluations alongside the triage nurse to facilitate timely care and must be able to make rapid decisions about patient care.

You will join a team of 35 physicians and 2 physician assistants in a 24/7 ED with an annual volume of 58,000 patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ ED experience.
• Active Maine APRN/PA license.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform front-end, rapid evaluations of patients with triage nurse to facilitate care.
• Make rapid decisions about patient care.
• Join a team of physicians and PAs in a high-volume ED.
