Ascension Health is seeking a qualified advanced practice provider to join the Ascension Medical Group Gastroenterology inpatient team in Indianapolis. This PRN role focuses on high-level inpatient gastroenterology consults and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team within a large nonprofit health system.

The successful candidate will have an NP or PA credential, Indiana licensure readiness, BLS, and a Master's degree in Nursing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing is required.
• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Indiana NP/PA prescriptive authority credentialed within 6 months of hire.
• Indiana RN license required prior to hire.

Responsabilités

• Conduct high-level inpatient GI consultations, diagnosing and managing complex GI conditions.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated advanced practice provider to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

• Join an established team of 5 physicians and experienced APPs
• Practice setting: Inpatient consultation focus
• Access to Athena and Sunrise EMR systems and a collaborative multidisciplinary clinical team
• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
• Eligible for Indiana state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Conduct high-level inpatient gastroenterology consultations, assessing, diagnosing, and managing complex GI health conditions.
• Collaborate directly with attending physicians to order diagnostic testing and assist in procedures and patient care plans.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
