Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for inpatient coverage on nights and days in a PRN capacity. You will join an established team of physicians and support staff within a Level I trauma center network.

Applicants must hold NP licensure in Indiana with prescriptive authority, be board certified or eligible, and maintain RN licensure. This role emphasizes patient education and collaborative care in a nonprofit health system setting.

• Join an established team of 5 physicians

• Call structure: None

• Practice setting: Inpatient covering nights and days

• Access to Level I Trauma Center resources, comprehensive on-site diagnostic imaging, and an integrated statewide referral network.

• Employed position within a nonprofit health system

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Advanced Practice Provider

• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration

• Enhance patient outcomes: Counsel and educate patients and their families concerning preventative health, treatment options, and community resources

• Drive clinical excellence: In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized healthcare services by diagnosing and treating acute and chronic health conditions.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Master's degree of Nursing required.
