Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks a Per Diem Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join the pediatric Neuro Child Evaluation team in HOPE Tower, Neptune. The role focuses on patient-centered care, leadership, and collaboration with physicians and staff in a busy subspecialty division.

The APN must hold an NP license with prescriptive authority under NJ law, be board-certified, and maintain ongoing CE. The position offers weekday hours with no weekend requirements in a collaborative hospital

Qualifications

Job description

The Per Diem Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. Per-diem NP position for busy pediatric subspecialty division (Neuro Child Evaluation) located in HOPE Tower, 5th Floor, Neptune. Practice open Monday - Friday, no weekends.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• Advance Practice Nurse License.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• Board certified by AANP or ANCC.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
