Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to deliver patient-centered, coordinated care with leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation, coaching, research, and ethical decision making.

This per diem role requires neurocritical care experience, NJ licensure (APN or NP), prescriptive authority, NPI, and a collaborative physician agreement. You will work with the practice team to assess, plan, and implement care; weekends and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting (or as regulations dictate).
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate patient care with the hospital team.
• Assess, plan, and implement care for patients with health and safety needs.
• Provide per diem neurocritical care to eligible patients.

Job description

The Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or PA utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The APN works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. Neurocritical Care exerience required for per diem.

Weekends and Holidays as needed. No on-call.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
