Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring immediately for full-time Patient Dining Associate positions at Walker Baptist in Jasper, AL. Schedule 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM; duties include helping patients with menu selections, assembling and delivering meals, and ensuring accuracy and safety.

Requirements include prior customer service and patient dining experience; ability to lift up to 100 pounds; English literacy and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, dietary restrictions, cultural and religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient menus and retrieve trays on a schedule.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards; protect patient confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining clean work stations.
• Follow infection control policies and sanitation procedures.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on liquid diets or calorie-specific plans.
• Communicate problems or concerns to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and sanitation regulations.
