Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks a Patient Dining Associate to support hospital meal service at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. You will help patients choose meals, assemble and deliver trays, and ensure proper timing and nutrition compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, as well as maneuver and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, dietary restrictions, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to each patient’s menu, retrieve trays from rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards; uphold HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down trays.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets; communicate issues promptly.
