Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Program Director - Retirement Solutions to lead a team of Retirement Specialists covering the Northeast (NJ, MA, PA minus Philadelphia) with hybrid work options and travel within the territory. You will drive sales growth, retain plans, and expand nationwide services through strategic relationships and proactive marketing plans.

The role requires an undergraduate degree, FINRA licenses (6/26 and possibly 63/65), and 5+ years of sales in financial services.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in related field preferred.
• FINRA Series 6 and Series 26 licenses required; Series 63 and 65 may be required.
• Financial services designations (e.g., CFP, ChFC, CRC, CRA) preferred.
• Five years of sales experience, preferably in financial industry.
• Knowledge of pension services, Section 457/401/PEHP plans, and public sector plans; procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand relationships with assigned cases using value-added products/services.
• Identify new prospective cases and acquire within territory.
• Lead a remote team through coaching to improve consultative sales and account management.
• Monitor territory and team progress toward monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
• Develop and implement annual marketing plans for the territory and present reports.
• Attend client board meetings and networking events to manage key partnerships.
• Collaborate with corporate team to improve communication and customer experience.
• Identify decision makers and engage at all levels of management.
