Job summary

PPG Industries is seeking a Sales Representative for the Protective and Marine Coatings segment in the Northeastern US. You will manage Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Vermont, reporting to the Atlantic Zone Sales Director.

The role involves growing sales, supporting distributors, and traveling within the territory up to 50% to meet customers. Strong sales history in coatings, a related degree, and CRM proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years successful sales experience with a proven track record.
• Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
• Experience in the Protective Coatings industry.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory; up to 50% overnight travel anticipated.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and access to a personal vehicle that meets FAVR requirements; pass MVR review.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and using a CRM platform/tools.

Responsibilities

• Sell PPG Coatings across major segments with a focus in the Northeast US.
• Achieve annual sales plans while managing costs, receivables and expenses.
• Maintain understanding of the market, customers, and competition.
• Provide product recommendations and support for application and performance.
• Manage distributor relationships including sales, training and development.
• Collaborate with team to develop the market and maximize potential.
• Utilize PPG's FAVR program to drive your own vehicle with tax-advantaged reimbursements.
