Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a part-time Staff Registered Nurse. The RN will deliver patient care per the Nursing Process, collaborate with a team, and work within organizational policies and guidelines.

The role involves patient assessments, medication administration under provider direction, education of patients and families, and meticulous documentation in the EMR. Requires active Ohio RN licensure and BLS/CPR; ACLS/PALS/NRP as applicable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Current BLS/CPR.
• 18 months of recent/relevant clinical experience in the specialty area.
• Ability to plan, organize, and manage patient care.
• Basic computer skills; EMR experience preferred.
• Must complete online competencies with 80% or greater.
• ACLS, PALS, ER-ACLS and NRP certifications preferred/required as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of patients; assist with examinations and treatments; perform basic procedures under provider supervision.
• Administer medications under provider direction according to policies and guidelines.
• Assist in emergency situations under provider direction.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, diagnoses, and disease processes.
• Document accurately all assessments, interventions and outcomes in the EMR and according to policies.
• Supervise and coordinate care provided by other licensed and unlicensed staff where appropriate.
