Job summary

Claybourne Co. in North America seeks a Director of Sales North East to lead all sales operations, drive revenue growth, and expand market share in a tightly regulated cannabis market.

Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will recruit and mentor a high-performing team, cultivate relationships with dispensaries, distributors and strategic partners, and coordinate with marketing, operations and product on pricing, launches, and promotions while ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of sales and account management experience in cannabis, alcohol or equivalent industry.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
• Strong knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements
• Willingness to work weekends and after-hours for events and meetings
• Driver's license and insurability requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives
• Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve targets
• Identify new business opportunities with dispensaries, distributors, and partners
• Analyze sales metrics and market trends to optimize performance
• Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product on launches, pricing, and promotions
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local cannabis regulations
• Report on sales performance and KPIs to the executive team
• Represent the company at industry events and trade shows
