Civil Science, a 100% employee-owned firm, is seeking a Survey Division Manager in North Dakota. This leadership role focuses on guiding strategy, expanding the survey program, and strengthening client relationships with public agencies and partners across ND.

The ideal candidate is an experienced licensed surveyor who can manage multi-project delivery, mentor staff, and drive a culture of quality and accountability while monitoring budgets and opportunities throughout the region.

Qualifications

• Strategic thinking to guide the division and align with Civil Science goals.
• Strong financial acumen to manage budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
• Proven ability to pursue opportunities and build long-term client relationships in ND.
• Experience leading teams, mentoring staff, and driving performance across multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the survey division aligned with company goals.
• Lead division planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Oversee quality, risk management, and safety compliance.
• Develop staff through mentoring, hiring, and performance programs.
• Represent Civil Science in municipal, regional, and state forums and industry groups.
• Lead business development efforts in ND, including client acquisition and proposals.
• Monitor funding cycles and position the division for opportunities.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with agencies and community partners.
