Job summary

Civil Science, Inc. is seeking a Transportation Design Division Manager in North Dakota to lead and grow the transportation design practice.

As a licensed civil engineer and leader, you will oversee project managers, manage multiple projects, ensure QA/QC, and drive client relationships and business development while aligning with our CORE values.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license for North Dakota is required.
10+ years of experience in transportation design or related infrastructure.
Experience managing teams and leading complex projects.
Strong understanding of project management (budgeting, scheduling, QA/QC).
Experience working with NDDOT and/or public agency clients.
Proficiency in relevant design and production tools.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Transportation Design Division, including project managers and design staff
Oversee multiple transportation design projects, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget performance
Serve as a senior client contact for transportation-related work
Support and drive business development efforts, including client relationships and pursuits
Collaborate with leadership to grow the transportation division and expand market presence
Mentor and develop staff, fostering a strong team culture and technical excellence
Ensure consistent application of QA/QC processes and high-quality project delivery
Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in project oversight
