Job summary

Shift4 seeks a Payment Processing Product Manager, Lead – North America to own the roadmap for Clearing, Settlement, and Dispute Management within the North America processing stack. You will coordinate with third‑party processors and networks, translating architecture direction into concrete requirements and phased migration plans.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product management within payments or fintech.
• Experience with clearing, settlement, and dispute processes across card networks.
• Proven ability to translate architectural or technical direction into an executable, sequenced product roadmap.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Engineering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap for Clearing, Settlement, and Exceptions/Dispute Management within the North America processing stack.
• Serve as the primary product point of contact with third‑party processing and network partners; manage day‑to‑day requirements and roadmap dependencies.
• Translate high‑level architectural direction into detailed product requirements and phased migration plans.
• Partner with Engineering to scope build‑vs‑buy decisions for processing capabilities and manage the internal product backlog.
• Work with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Compliance to ensure regulatory and reconciliation requirements are met.
• Define and track success metrics for processing reliability and partner performance; report to executives.
• Document and maintain the data model and interface contracts between processing and adjacent systems.
• Support internal and external certification efforts tied to new clearing and settlement capabilities.
• Act as a bridge between North America needs and global Payment Architecture standards.
