Shift4 is seeking a Lead Product Manager for North America payments processing to own the roadmap for clearing, settlement, and exception management. You will collaborate with third-party processors, networks, and cross-functional teams to drive a modular, compliant platform transition across the region.

You will translate architectural direction into actionable deliverables, manage dependencies, and define success metrics while partnering with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in product management within payments or fintech.
• Working knowledge of transaction lifecycle mechanics—clearing, settlement, and dispute processes across card networks.
• Experience managing relationships with external processing or network partners, including roadmap negotiation and issue escalation.
• Demonstrated ability to translate architectural or technical direction into an executable, sequenced product roadmap.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Engineering.
• Comfort working with structured data and system interfaces; ability to read data models and integration points.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting roadmaps to senior stakeholders.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and adaptable during platform migration.

Responsabilités

• Own the product roadmap for Clearing, Settlement, and Exceptions/Dispute Management within the North America processing stack, aligned with global architecture and platform-independence strategy.
• Serve as the primary product contact with third-party processing and network partners, managing day-to-day requirements, escalations, and roadmap dependencies.
• Translate high-level architectural direction into detailed product requirements, phased migration plans, and measurable delivery milestones.
• Scope build-vs-buy decisions for processing capabilities not fully covered by external partners and manage the internal backlog.
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Operations, and Compliance to ensure flows meet regulatory, funding, and reconciliation requirements across networks.
• Define and track success metrics for processing reliability, settlement accuracy, and partner performance; report to senior stakeholders.
• Document the data model and interface contracts between processing and adjacent systems (onboarding/merchant data, gateway, billing).
• Support internal and external certifications tied to new clearing and settlement capabilities.
• Bridge North America needs with the Global Payment Architecture function to reflect regional requirements.
