Job summary

Meat & Livestock Australia is seeking a Market Development Manager to lead the North America agenda, developing demand for Australian beef, lamb and goatmeat. The role coordinates with exporters and value chain partners while managing projects, budgets and external providers.

The successful candidate will drive strategy, ensure governance compliance, and report to the Regional Manager, North America. A visa/residency status appropriate for full-time US employment is required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications relating to Marketing, Sales, Business Management/Administration, Hospitality, or Culinary Arts or red meat production (Veterinary Science, Rural Science, Agricultural Economics, Animal Husbandry, or a similar agriculture-focused qualification).
• Sales or business development experience in business-to-business roles
• Marketing strategy, planning, and execution in the food and/or beverage industry in North America, and/or a thorough understanding of the Australian meat and livestock industry – supply capability, key suppliers, Australian product categories and attributes, organizational structure, etc.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• High level of experience using Microsoft Suite and software products.

Responsibilities

• Drive market development for Australian beef, lamb and goatmeat in North America.
• Manage marketing projects, budgets and service providers, translating market insights into action.
• Collaborate with exporters and value chain partners while meeting MLA governance requirements.
