Job summary

SCOR is seeking a strategic Head of North America for Alternative Solutions in New York. You will lead underwriting, client relations and market development while coaching a regional team to achieve profitable growth in non-traditional deals.

You will shape the portfolio, drive revenue and collaborate with SCOR’s underwriting and actuarial experts to deliver tailored solutions, ensuring compliance, risk control and strong partner engagement.

Qualifications

• Substantial industry experience in underwriting in an international environment in an "+alternative risk transfer+" context.
• Leadership experience with career development and training.
• Knowledge of non-traditional underwriting and related actuarial, accounting, legal, regulatory and capital management topics.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting focus—Originate, design, evaluate and price offers of non-traditional / alternative deals and negotiate conditions.
• Leadership—Manage the regional team, optimize workload and support career paths and trainings.
• Portfolio optimisation—Manage and renew existing portfolio of non-traditional / alternative deals.
• Business development—Develop tailored products and promote non-traditional / alternative deals to clients, brokers and underwriting teams.
• Client management—Maintain relationships and demonstrate SCOR’s value.
• Operational excellence—Contribute to deal maintenance, reporting, reserving and claims settlements.
• Compliance—Ensure ICSP process adherence within the region.
• New market ideation—Analyze markets and propose new solutions to grow the portfolio.
