Sony Pictures Entertainment is seeking an Analyst in North American Distribution Research to support data-driven decisions across U.S. and Canada, collaborating with Sales and all distribution platforms.

This role anchors data quality, builds insights, and communicates findings to senior leaders. Located in New York, the analyst will prepare presentations, manage multiple workstreams, and partner across research teams to optimize content monetization across platforms.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree
• 1+ year professional experience in media and entertainment
• Experience using data and analytics tools successfully in a business environment
• Able to distill and effectively communicate complex information clearly and concisely in writing and presentation
• Must be highly-adaptable and flexible, highly-organized, able to multi-task: coordinate and prioritize multiple workstreams
• Strong communication skills with the ability to and work well with others; flexing between lead and support roles as necessary
• Comfortable working in a matrix environment
• Proactive, problem-solver; able to anticipate next steps for business needs
• Must be highly-detailed, reliable and always maintain data integrity
• Must be curious, ask questions, driven to find answers / solutions and able to produce alternate workarounds when necessary
• Familiarity with television, media metrics and methodologies across all platforms a plus
• Familiarity with Home Entertainment, especially EST and rental a plus
• Familiarity with non-linear, digital and social media a plus
• Familiarity with Nielsen Ratings and products and systems a strong plus
• Familiarity with analytics tools like Tableau, Google Analytics and Omniture also a plus
• Proficiency with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Aufgaben

• Operate within a cross-functional research team, as part of a larger North American Distribution team, as it supports of all functions of SPT Businesses
• Understand and communicate SPT business needs – supporting Sales and all complimentary business teams with data and insights
• Collect, consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality and the integrity of its business implications
• Provide strong, clear, impactful analyses to uncover and communicate content, industry and consumer insights across SPT
• Create sales presentations for all platforms of SPT Distribution and Advertiser Sales
• Project Management and Support, as business needs, department and individual workloads dictate
• Deliver verbal and written insights to Senior Management, Sales and other team leaders
