Job summary

Maytag Aircraft seeks an Assistant Terminal Manager at Chambers Field in Portsmouth, VA. You will manage daily operations, oversee bulk fuel storage, and supervise personnel in aviation fuel handling and related equipment.

You will ensure compliance with training requirements and policy standards, coordinating movements of fuel and supervising inventory, quality surveillance, and environmental compliance across the facility.

Qualifications

• Three years of supervisory experience in petroleum storage and distribution operations.
• Experience with aviation fuel servicing equipment and AFHE knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and system specifications.

Responsibilities

Assistant Terminal Manager - Chambers Field

The ATM’s must have experiencerelevant to the facilities, contractor provided equipment, in bulk fuel storage and distribution systems, mobile (aviation and ground)fuel servicing equipment, direct aviation fuel servicing equipment, quality surveillance of aviation and ground fuel products, aviation and ground fuel inventory, accounting, and administration. Practical experience in the basic design and layout of petroleum facilities,component makeup and flow characteristics of storage piping systems, and the ability to read and understand basic drawings, blueprints, and system specifications.

The ATM’s must comply with DLA Energy Policy P-32 and complete all training requirements established therein. This training is funded by DLA Energy. TM’s must have extensive knowledge of Automated Fuel Handing Equipment (AFHE), (if system is installed), and be capable to collaborate scheduled movements of fuel. Temporary replacements for this position are required to have the same qualifications listed above. Other than those administrative duties commonly associated with and carried out by an individual in amanagement position,

Supervisory Experience: The ATM’s must have three years of experience in petroleum storage and distribution operations, airfield petroleum services, and fuel systems maintenance within three years immediately prior to the contract start date or the individual’s hiring date. That experience must have been specialized supervisory training with emphasis in equipment inspection, operation, maintenance, inventory management, and environmental compliance. If present during a spill event, this position shall be required to perform role of Navy On Scene Coordinator (NOSC) until the appropriate Emergency Services Representative arrives on scene. In addition, the TM’s will complete required underground and aboveground storage tank Operator Training and Spill Response Training.
