Job summary

Community Options, Inc. is seeking a dedicated IDD Quality Assurance Coordinator in Queens, NY. This role monitors residential and vocational program operations and serves as a liaison between local and national offices to ensure compliance with state rules and agency policies.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of relevant experience, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and a valid driver’s license. Starting pay is $26.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Commitment to and knowledge of community-based support for persons with disabilities.
• Knowledge and understanding of local regulatory agency operations.
• Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.
• Employment is contingent upon checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct QA audits of financial, personnel files including training records, medication records, Therap, and billing documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive record reviews.
• Conduct physical site inspections of homes and programs.
• Perform 30-day initial audit of all new homes and programs.
• Audit individuals’ in-house accounts to verify documentation, monitoring, and balances.
• Communicate audit findings to Regional/State Director, Executive Director, and National Compliance and QA Director.
• Recommend changes in current policy and procedures.
• Cooperate with license and department staff during inspections, inquiries, or investigations.
