Baltimore Public Media seeks a Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting, close the books, and support grant reporting. This role reports to the CFO and CEO and supervises the AP/AR Specialist.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, with six years of experience in full-cycle accounting, strong Excel and QuickBooks Online skills, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset for a mission-driven public media organization.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum six years of directly applicable experience.
• Full-cycle accounting – A/R, A/P, balance sheet reconciliations, reports compilation.
• Supervisory experience, interfacing with various departments/functions.
• Foster a collaborative team spirit based on mutual respect.
• Able to lead by example, delegate respectfully and make sound independent decisions.

Aufgaben

• ACH processing, bank account and credit card reconciliations.
• Accruals and journal entries for month-end close.
• Maintenance of fixed asset schedules and capex monitoring.
• Preparation of reconciling schedules for financial statements.
• Compilation of monthly financials and forecasts.
• Creation and tracking of annual budgets.
• Preparation of board meeting materials.
• Assistance with personnel and business insurance.
• Annual charitable registration and regulatory filings, grant reporting.
• Participation in year-end audit, regulatory and 990 filings.
• Generating annual 1099 forms and 1096 report.
