Responsibilities

Oversees daily accounting activities to maintain the general ledger.
Supervises accounting staff, including cash reconciliations, AP, payroll, and fixed assets.
Maintains organized financial records and documents.
Resolves complex accounting issues and assists other personnel.
Reviews vendor invoices for accuracy and approves payments.
Coordinates monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and audits.
Prepares financial statements and ad hoc reports.
Implements improvements to accounting processes and controls.
Oversees payroll processing and grant accounting compliance.
