Job summary

Avenue 360 Health and Wellness is seeking a Controller to lead the accounting team and maintain the organization’s general ledger in a non-profit setting. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee daily activities to ensure accurate revenue, expenditures, assets, and liabilities.

You will ensure GAAP compliance, manage monthly closings and audits, and prepare both internal and external financial reports. Strong supervision and policy development skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Master degree preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge with non-profit experience.
• Ability to develop financial policies and supervise staff.
• Knowledge of payroll, benefits, and HR practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily accounting activities to maintain general ledger.
• Supervises accounting staff including AP, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Prepares financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinates monthly and annual closings and audits.
• Ensures GAAP compliance and federal grant reporting.
