Job summary

Massachusetts Land Trust Coalition is seeking an Finance & Accounting Manager to lead budgeting, oversee AP/AR, and support the CEO with financial strategy. You will coordinate with the Finance and Investment Committees and ensure strong internal controls while maintaining alignment with the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred or 5 years in a related role.
• CPA certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting and planning with CEO; review budgets and monitor progress.
• Brief the CEO, Treasurer, and Finance Committee on financial status quarterly.
• Meet regularly with the Treasurer for financial oversight.
• Support Finance and Investment Committees with updates and reports.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable, including gift processing.
• Liaise with outsourced financial services vendor.
• Manage insurance policies for office equipment and vehicles.
• Inform capital planning with Board Chairs; support budgeting and investment decisions.
• Liaise with the auditor; generate year-end financial reports.
• Be a member of the Marketing, Development & Finance team.
• Ensure policies align with the organization’s mission, values, and objectives.
