Job summary

Vault Consulting seeks a Controller with 5+ years in nonprofit or public accounting. You will oversee month-end close, prepare financial statements, and manage grant accounting for multiple nonprofit clients. You’ll support audits and Form 990, onboard new clients, and be main client contact.

CPA preferred; familiarity with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks plus strong Excel/MS Office skills. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and opportunities for professional development at Vault

Qualifications

• A seasoned professional with a blend of at least five years of experience in public accounting, auditing, corporate or nonprofit accounting roles.
• Not-for-profit industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with multiple accounting software packages including Sage Intacct and QuickBooks is preferred.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
• Passion and commitment to providing quality client service and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Provide outsourced accounting services for multiple nonprofit clients, including day-to-day oversight of the finance function, including managing and developing the accounting team.
• Review of month-end close and production of financial statements.
• Grant accounting, including federal and non-federal grants.
• Support for the annual audit and Form 990 cycle.
• Main point of contact for clients, external vendors, and banking/finance institutions.
• Onboarding new clients.
