Job summary

Vault Consulting provides outsourced accounting and HR services to nonprofits, and supports research programs. We seek a Senior Accountant with 2+ years of experience to handle month-end close, financial statements, and client interactions as a full-time, benefited employee.

You will oversee A/P/AR for multiple clients, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with auditors. A CPA or in-progress CPA is preferred, with not-for-profit experience and strong Excel/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, auditing, corporate or not‑for‑profit accounting.
• CPA license or license in progress preferred.
• Not-for-profit industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks is preferred.
• Excellent Excel and MS Office skills.
• Strong analytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide outsourced accounting services for multiple clients, including oversight of A/P and A/R.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist engagement supervisor with production and review of monthly financial statements.
• Interface with external auditors for audits and 990 schedules.
• Communicate directly with clients on engagement matters.
• Interface with external vendors and banking/finance institutions.
