Friends of the Children is seeking an exceptional accounting professional and people leader to join our Finance team as Controller – Network Financial Service. The role leads a team of accounting professionals and ensures timely, accurate financial reporting for chapters using National services.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license is required.
• 7–10 years of financial accounting or audit experience is required.
• Non-profit accounting experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP/internal controls knowledge.
• Experience supporting multiple entities simultaneously.
• Maintain high confidentiality and organize multiple overlapping projects.
• Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of accounting and financial services for network chapters.
• Hire, train, and retain skilled accounting staff.
• Review chapter financial statements, entries, and reconciliations.
• Oversee monthly financial calls with executives and board members.
• Support budgeting, cash projections, and year-end audits.
• Ensure grant reporting accuracy and compliance with regulations.
