Job summary

The Capacity Building Specialist at Methodist Healthcare Ministries (MHM) works with grantees and community-based organizations to strengthen sustainability and expand philanthropic investments through coaching, facilitation, and curriculum development.

Responsibilities include delivering technical assistance in business planning, fundraising, marketing, HR, finance, information technology, and more; coordinating virtual and in-person capacity building convenings; and maintaining MHM’s online

Qualifications

• At least three years’ successful capacity building or organizational development experience.
• Experience training, teaching, coaching, or mentoring individuals or groups.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational abilities.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides capacity building services to MHM’s grantees and community-based organizations to strengthen organizations’ sustainability.
• Coaches and connects grantees to resources on topics like business planning, fundraising, marketing, HR, finance, and IT.
• Delivers services for virtual and in-person capacity building cohorts and convenings.
• Maintains capacity building presence on MHM’s website and social platforms with resources and tips.
• Assists with outreach to consultants and collaboratives to support cohorts and partners.
