Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul Georgia is seeking a Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records, process accounts payable and receivable, and support the preparation of financial reports for our nonprofit operations.

As part of the Finance team, you will manage restricted and unrestricted funds, grants, donations, and retail operations, ensuring precise recording and timely reporting across SVdP Georgia’s statewide network.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• Proficient math skills for bookkeeping, revenue accounts, expenses, and reports.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
• Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient in 10-key typing and data entry.
• Deadline-driven with strong time management.
• Commitment to nonprofit Catholic mission.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable process using accounting software and other programs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors.
• Reconcile bank activity daily.
• Record ACH debits in all accounts.
• Record donations received daily to Raiser's Edge.
• Post entry from Raiser's Edge to Financial Edge for donations.
• Record funds transfers within various bank accounts.
• Prepare a weekly report of deposits and payments.
• Research stale dated checks older than 15 days.
• Void and place stop payment on voided checks.
• Enter bills into the system for payment.
• Collect payments on outstanding invoices.
