Job summary

Withum is seeking a Not-for-Profit Audit Senior to join our audit and attest practice across office locations. You will lead engagement teams from planning through completion, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables for nonprofit clients.

You'll supervise staff, mentor junior members, and collaborate with managers and partners on complex accounting issues while maintaining strong client relationships and adherence to US GAAP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or CPA eligible.
• 2-3 years public accounting experience with leadership.
• Analytical, technical, and auditing skills with US GAAP familiarity.
• Excellent client service and communication.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced team.
• Leadership, training and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagement staff on planning and execution of audit, review or compilation engagements.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of the audit engagement, staffing and risk assessment.
• Provide supervision and support to engagement staff and mentors.
• Perform attest procedures specific to nonprofits.
• Collaborate on client issue resolution and regulatory guidance.
• Review schedules and general ledger accounts for accuracy.
• Manage multiple engagements with diverse teams to meet deadlines.
• Create and track engagement budgets and review for inefficiencies.
• Discuss evaluations and provide counsel to team members.
