Job summary

Withum is seeking a Not-for-Profit Audit Senior to lead engagement teams across nonprofit audits, reviews, and compilations. The role includes supervising staff, planning engagements, and maintaining client relationships across office locations in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of public accounting experience, a CPA or eligibility, and strong analytical and communication skills, with deep US GAAP familiarity for complex nonprofit engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• CPA or CPA eligible.
• 2-3 years of public accounting experience with leadership of multiple engagements.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with familiarity of US GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engagement team on planning and executing audits, reviews or compilations for nonprofits.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of audit engagements, staffing, risk assessment, fieldwork, reporting and conclusions.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to staff and coordinate with engagement manager and partner.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on client issues and regulatory considerations.
• Review schedules and general ledger accounts for accuracy.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet client deadlines.
• Create and monitor engagement budgets.
