Job summary

Sikich invites a Summer 2027 Audit Intern to support Not-For-Profit engagements in a hybrid role based in Naperville, IL and Springfield, IL. You will learn the audit lifecycle, work with client personnel, and gain hands-on experience alongside experienced professionals.

We seek current accounting students who can commit to 40 hours per week, demonstrate strong Excel skills, and are pursuing CPA credentials; US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, junior or senior status during internship.
• Pursuing accounting, cost accounting or auditing degree.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during internship.
• Interest in CPA credentials.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the audit process.
• Analyze and test key elements of client financial statements.
• Establish working relationships with client personnel.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client service.
• Work on a variety of different accounting projects.
