Job summary

Sikich LLC is seeking a Summer 2027 Audit Intern for a Not-For-Profit focus. The role operates on a hybrid basis across Naperville, IL and Springfield, IL, with the intern reporting to a Manager and supporting audit processes for multiple client engagements.

Ideal candidates are Sophomore to Senior year accounting students, able to commit 40 hours/week, and pursuing CPA credentials. Strong communication and Microsoft Suite skills are expected, with US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status at time of internship.
• Engaged in an accounting, cost accounting, or auditing program at a college or university.
• Ability to work 40 hours each week during the internship.
• Interested in pursuing CPA credentials.

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the audit process
• Analyze and test key elements of client financial statements
• Establish working relationships with client personnel
• Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client service
• Work on a variety of different accounting projects
